Upasam Nursing Academy, is a Nursing Training School, located in N.H.-34, Collegepara, Raiganj, Uttar Dinajpur district of West Bengal. We offers General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) course, which is Affiliated By Dept. of Health & FW, Govt. of West Bengal & West Bengal Nursing Council(W.B.N.C.). We constantly maintain an all-inclusive infrastructure having a library, hostel facility, laboratories, indoor and outdoor sports area and much more.
Upasam Nursing Academy is the Nursing Training School in West Bengal. We have a brilliant and experienced faculty to train the students in the field of nursing. Furthermore, we ensure that on completion of the nursing course, our students get appropriate job placement to display their qualification and nursing expertise in renowned Private/Government Hospitals which may be within the district, state, and country.

I am really delighted to highlight that the Upasam Nursing Academy is a unique Nursing Institute, established in the year 2021, is affiliated to West Bengal Nursing Council, Kolkata, and is recognized by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi. The Nursing programmes focus on equipping and channelizing the knowledge, attitude, skills and potentials of the students effectively and efficiently to provide quality health care. To be a great Nurse, you must not only have to be very well qualified professionally but also have the right positive attitude. Besides the Institute’s own hospital (Upasam Hospital), students are also provided exposure in state-run hospitals. The college places more emphasis on hands-on training, as these students will be dealing with human lives later. The college provides qualified and experienced faculty and specialized external lecturers to impart quality education in developing skills and facilitate them for quality practice. Due to rapid change in health environment and expectations for health care consumers Nursing profession has also undergone tremendous changes.
General Nursing and Midwifery or GNM is a three-year and six-month diploma course designed for aspirants who want to pursue a career in clinical nursing. The programme teaches candidates how to care for individuals who are sick or have been injured in order to help them attain full recovery. Although the curriculum design of the course varies from university to university, GNM courses are designed to prepare the students for the clinical approach of handling patients. The curriculum of some universities includes a six-month internship at the end of the course and the diploma is granted only after the candidates complete this internship..
